Junior Conferencing Term 3 2022

Junior Conferencing is planned for Thursday 25 August.

Classes will not run on this day. Junior students are expected to attend conferencing with their caregiver(s). They are not required to wear school uniform. Senior students should be working on their NCEA studies.

Conferencing is the formal opportunity for both you and your student to receive detailed feedback and feed forward on academic progress and the next steps to improve learning outcomes. Conferencing works best when all three parties, the student, parents/ caregivers and teacher are present. If due to unforeseen or exceptional circumstances a parent/ caregiver is unable to attend conferencing, we ask that another significant adult in your student’s life attend with them as it is critical that your student has the opportunity to be part of this formal reporting event.

You are encouraged to meet with as many of your student’s teachers as possible. Most subject teachers will be available between 9.00am-6.00pm. Interviews are for 5 minutes duration only.  If you require more time for an interview, please arrange an alternative time to meet the teacher concerned. In order to minimise large groups under the Orange Covid traffic light system, we are holding these in both the Gymnasium and Hall.

Booking Your Conferencing times

• Please log on to www.schoolinterviews.co.nz and follow the instructions. The school event code is cw7c2  or use this booking link. 

• At the conclusion of booking interviews, your interview timetable will be emailed to you. You are able to return to the site and change your interview times if necessary.

•  Please ring the College Office if you have any questions or do not have access to the internet as office staff are able to make appointments for you. 

Please make the time to discuss with your student how they think they are going in each class prior to conferencing.
